Yahoo Email Signature Installation Instructions
FAQ’s (These may be helpful AFTER installation)
Part 1 - Copying Your Signature to Your Clipboard
Note: If you don’t currently have your signature open in a browser tab, display it now:
In the tab with your signature, press Ctrl-A then Ctrl-C - this will select your entire signature and then copy it to your clipboard.
Note: Mac users will use Command-A and Command-C.
Part 2 - Yahoo Mail - Email Signature Installation Instructions
Yahoo Mail (not Yahoo Classic, but the new version released in 2007)
1. Go to your Yahoo inbox.
2. Click OPTIONS (found in the upper right).
3. Pull down to MAIL OPTIONS.
4. Click SIGNATURE (found in the left menu).
5. You will see an edit box - delete anything that is in it.
6. Type any closing block you want to use, like “Sincerely,” and then your name. Use the ENTER key to create line breaks.
7. Place your cursor beneath any text you’ve typed (by using the ENTER key) and PASTE in the email signature that you have previously copied to your computer’s clipboard.
8. Click BACK TO MAIL (found at the top of the left menu).
9. Click OK when asked if you want to save your changes - that’s it.
Note: Hyperlinks in email never work while you are composing or responding to a message. To test your links, compose a message to yourself, and try the links when you have received it and are reading it.
Yahoo CLASSIC
1. Go to your Yahoo inbox.
2. Click OPTIONS (found in the upper right).
3. Click SIGNATURE (found in “management” column on the “mail options” screen).
4. You will see an edit box - delete anything that is in it.
5. Type any closing block you want to use, like “Sincerely,” and then your name. Use the ENTER key to create line breaks.
6. Place your cursor beneath any text you’ve typed (by using the ENTER key) and PASTE in the email signature that you have previously copied to your computer’s clipboard.
7. CHECK the box that says “Add Signature to All Outgoing Messages” (found beneath the edit window).
8. Click the SAVE button found in the lower left - that’s it.
Note #1: You will not see your signature when composing a message, but Yahoo will attach it when your message is sent. Please send a test message to yourself to verify this.
